Description

The BASIC eyewash box contains 2 pcs. eyeaid eye rinse and up to 30 minutes rinsing time in total. The eyewash box is splash-proof, impact-resistant and protects the eyewash bottles against dust and dirt. Stainless steel wall holder included for setup where quick access to eyewash is desired. For example at a battery charging station, workshop trolley/table or near the exit for transport to hospital/treatment facility. The BASIC eyewash box, like the eyewash bottles, is operated with one hand and can therefore be easily opened and the eyewash can start in a few seconds. The eyewash box can be pulled by the handle from the wall holder in one movement and brought to the injured party or brought along for transport so that it can be rinsed en route to the treatment site.

Please also be aware that, according to the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority, the eyewash water should be at a comfortable temperature. If eyewash bottles are stored outdoors during the winter months, they must be protected from frost.

Correct flushing method in case of accidental contact with chemicals:

At workplaces, depending on the nature of the work and the general conditions, there must be sufficient eyewash bottles where there is a risk of coming into contact with substances and materials that it is important to remove quickly from the eyes. If the eyes are hit by chemicals, they should be rinsed as long as possible and for a minimum of 30 minutes. The extent of the damage will depend on the type, quantity and concentration of the chemical that hits the eye, and the time that elapses before starting to rinse the surface of the eye. The eyes must be actively kept open to ensure effective flushing.

Installation instructions for your eyewash station:

Help Care Company recommends that the eyewash station be mounted in a visible place where there are free and quick access routes to the station. It is also important to hang the eyewash station as close as possible to where the risk of eye damage may arise.
