How the JUTEC fire blanket works

The JUTEC fire blanket is designed to contain the consequences of a battery fire rather than extinguish it. By covering the vehicle, it significantly reduces heat radiation and helps prevent fire from spreading to nearby vehicles, buildings and equipment.

The specially developed open-fibre material allows extinguishing water and sprinkler water to penetrate the blanket, enabling continued cooling of the battery during the incident. At the same time, battery gases are safely released through the material, preventing pressure build-up and eliminating the so-called balloon effect.
