The 3M PELTOR X5 Earmuffs are black in color, making it easy to choose the correct level of protection from the X Series. By combining 3M's hearing protection expertise with advanced technology, a hearing protector has been created with a special foam blend in the ear cups and cushioning pads with an innovative spacer and cup-shaped design. The 3M Peltor X Series X5 Earmuffs are the most attenuating hearing protectors in the PELTOR series, reducing noise by up to 37 dB. The technology in the design means that despite the larger ear cups, the hearing protector is still lightweight with excellent balance and comfort. The headband model has an electrically insulated, double headband design that helps reduce heat build-up on the top of the head, and the stainless steel wire, coated with plastic, makes the headband the most robust solution from 3M. The hearing protector is both robust and comfortable, as the flat and wide headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the head. The product has no visible metal, which means it is 'dielectric' and provides electrical resistance in places where there is a risk of sparks or charge.
