The 3M PELTOR WS ALERT XPI+ is a wireless hearing protector and headset designed for high-noise environments. The headset combines hearing protection with an FM radio (featuring RDS), Bluetooth communication, level-dependent ambient sound, and advanced features for customizing the audio experience across various work environments.

Bluetooth MultiPoint technology allows for the connection of one or two external Bluetooth devices for hands-free calls and streaming. The noise-canceling boom microphone is engineered to ensure clear speech transmission in noisy surroundings.

The WS ALERT XPI+ features WAP (Work Audio Profiles), offering various amplification settings and frequency shaping for ambient sound. APS (Audio Pan Setting) allows the user to pan FM radio or streamed audio to either the left or right ear; this function can be used in conjunction with ambient sound to enhance situational awareness.

The headset connects to the 3M Connected Equipment app on iOS and Android devices for setup and adjustment. The multifunction button can be configured via the app to control various functions, including Bluetooth, microphone mute, streaming profiles, time, and APS.

The headset includes a "Push to Listen" function, a voice-guided menu system, large buttons, and voice confirmation when settings are changed. Additional features include OTA firmware updates, automatic shut-off after four hours of inactivity, low-battery warnings, and USB-C charging.

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers an estimated battery life of up to 70 hours. The attenuation cushions and sealing rings are replaceable.
